DESCRIPTION:This general purpose Browser provides the following capabilities:
a. Browse, Update, View, Add and Delete records from Database.
b. Transfer any Database application from AS/400 to PC based RDBMS.
c. Runs with all above functionality on Downloaded AS/400 Database.
XGUI - X@CUI for Windows is a C/S Application. The Graphical User Interface makes
interaction with AS/400 Database Applications more user friendly and easy to work
with. Various database applications, whether on AS/400 or on PC (Downloaded from
AS/400 using Data Transfer utility), XGUI builds dynamic Action calls in the form
of menu items and performs functions accordingly when selected from the menu. This
dynamic painting of screen, handling of menus and options makes XGUI a versatile
application for an AS/400 Database application to work with.

1. X@BROWSE - X-Analysis for Windows. A Client-Server Application under
WINDOWS95/VC++ 4.0/MFC 4.0. The Server is on AS/400 in RPG/400.
DESCRIPTION: X@BROWSE is a very prestigious Client-Server project on AS/400
for IBM in general and Databorough in particular. X-Analysis is an awarded
Software on AS/400 and highly acclaimed by IBM as one of its product.
X@BROWSE, a Client-Server Software, is an X-Analysis browser under Windows.
It is an amalgamation of Client (on PC in VC++), 5250 Router, and Server (on
AS/400 in RPG/400), using DLLs both on Client and Server for communication
of data with PCS router. The data is accessed by communication protocol
written in VC++.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Understanding of Algorithm and working of the software.
Suggest and incorporate enhancements in the software. Worked on the X@BROWSE
Standalone version using the MS-ACCESS database. Data transfer to simulate
AS/400 was done for a set of conditions. DLL was written to handle opening,
reading, writing and closing of the database registered with ODBC. Worked on
adding new features viz. Generating & Printing of Diagrams, Charts, Source
code, Help, Popup Help on individual items on screen. This required
understanding of AS/400 concepts, working and RPG/400, CMD, CL programming.
Prepared User Manual for the product.
DESCRIPTION: The document file (.DOC file in MS-Word) which had been created
using proper Headings, Sub-headings and paragraph text-flows was to be
converted to Rich Text Format (.RTF ). Help Project (.HPJ) file was also to
be generated. This was then to be converted to Help file (.HLP) using Help
Compiler. The Help File thus generated was to be used with XBROWSE. The bugs
were to be removed from the existing macro and was to be made compact and
fast.
